Plasma Pen delivers soft-surgery plasma fibroblasting with stunning, long lasting and completely natural looking results. It is entirely designed to dramatically repair, reverse and mitigate all the negative effects of ageing by blending state-of-the-art nitrogen plasma technology with hard science, sophisticated technique, best practice, and our elitely trained staff. It is a cost-effective & highly compelling alternative to all other medi-aesthetic procedures you may know – including injectables, fillers, microneedling, laser, mesotherapy, dermabrasion and chemabrasion and most (if not all) elective cosmetic surgery procedures!
As we age our dermal layer thins, less collagen is produced, elastin fibres wear out & these changes in the scaffolding of our skin cause it to wrinkle & sag and to lose laxity & texture – similar to how the scaffolding of a building would lose integrity & collapse if it rusted, weakened & became unable to bear loads.
The nitrogen plasma energy transfers to the skins epidermal layer whilst, simultaneously, it heats and disrupts the deeper dermal structure via thermal conduction. In doing so, a dual zone of micro-trauma is created, which comprises of a superficial zone of outer thermal micro-damage to the epidermis. A deeper zone is also created, consisting of inner thermal modification in the dermis – especially to the fibroblasts. That’s why we often call the treatment “fibroblasting”.
Fibroblasts are the most common cells of connective tissue in the body and the only cells that can make Type III collagen. Type III collagen synthesis into tougher Type I collagen over a period of about 3 months. Type I collagen is what provides the strength in our skins dense connective tissues. Most fibroblasts are inactive and are actually called fibrocytes. These fibrocytes will rarely undergo cell division and will not produce collagen unless they are specifically re-activated by a wound healing process or inflammatory response. Plasma Pen does precisely that!
